ACCERT has been placed on ALERT status due to a Red Flag Warning and Excessive Heat Warning issued in Napa County. The Toll Fire is currently burning northeast of Calistoga with Evacuation Orders and Warnings being issued in the area.

A Red Flag Warning means that weather conditions are occurring or will occur that can contribute to extreme fire behavior. Any fires that develop have potential to spread rapidly.

An Excessive Heat Warning means the region will experience a rare or long-duration extreme heat event. Conditions will be very dangerous or lethal to anyone without proper hydration or adequate cooling.

This level requires no immediate response action by CERT volunteers. This is an advisory that CERT team leaders have been notified of an emergency management activity which may require CERT assistance during a crisis. We will not have a mission at this level, but you should have your equipment (PPE) ready.

Typical wildfire missions ACCERT may be tasked with include communications, evacuation assistance and/or traffic control. Typical excessive heat missions involve setting up and/or staffing cooling stations during daylight hours. Firefighter Rehabilitation tasks may be requested for Long-duration fire incidents.
